Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and finalizing company financial statements, including the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. The role involves ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, and finalize

Balance Sheet

,

Profit & Loss Account

, and other financial statements. Maintain and reconcile

general ledger accounts

, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Manage

accounts payable and receivable

, bank reconciliation, and vendor payments. Handle

monthly, quarterly, and annual closing

of accounts. Review and ensure proper posting of all accounting entries and adjustments. Supervise and guide junior accountants in daily accounting operations. Prepare schedules and reports for

auditors and management review

. Monitor

cash flow, budgets, and fund utilization

. Ensure

compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements

. Support management in

financial planning, forecasting, and cost control

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. Minimum

5-8 years of accounting experience

(construction or manufacturing preferred). Proficiency in

Tally ERP, Excel, and accounting software

. Strong knowledge of

Indian Accounting Standards, GST, and Income Tax

. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
