The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing core accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal control requirements. The role will support manufacturing finance operations, statutory compliance, MIS reporting, and coordination with auditors, while contributing to process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities
Prepare and review trial balance, general ledger, balance sheet, profit & loss account, and cash flow statements
Perform periodic account reconciliations and ensure resolution of discrepancies
Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting
Manage accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods
Monitor inventory valuation, consumption, and stock reconciliations
Support cost accounting, product costing, and margin analysis
Track and account for job work transactions and inter-unit transfers
Statutory & Tax Compliance
Ensure compliance with GST regulations including return filing, reconciliations, and documentation
Manage TDS compliances including deductions, payments, and returns
Support income tax assessments, audits, and regulatory submissions
Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, and internal audit teams
MIS, Controls & Governance
Prepare monthly MIS reports and financial dashboards for management review
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks and corporate governance standards
Participate in process documentation, SOP implementation, and internal audits
Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with production, procurement, supply chain, and HR teams to ensure financial accuracy
Liaise with banks, auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities as required
Provide timely financial data and analysis to support business decision-making
Systems & Tools
ERP systems (Tally / other commonly used accounting software or equivalent)
Advanced MS Excel and reporting tools
GST and statutory compliance portals
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting; Master's degree preferred
CA Inter / CMA Inter or equivalent professional qualification preferred
4-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in textile, apparel, or manufacturing organizations
