Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Accountant

to oversee all financial and accounting operations, ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and support management with accurate financial insights for strategic decision-making. The role demands strong expertise in financial reporting, cost control, compliance, and leadership abilities to manage the accounting team effectively.

Key Responsibilities1. Financial Reporting & Compliance



Prepare

monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

in compliance with accounting standards (IND-AS / IFRS / GAAP). Ensure

timely and accurate closing of books

, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Coordinate with

auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies

to ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, etc.). Maintain accurate and updated documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.

2. Cost Accounting & Inventory Control



Manage

cost accounting processes

including Bill of Materials (BOM), standard costing, and variance analysis. Analyze

product costing, margins, and profitability

, and provide recommendations for cost optimization. Ensure accurate valuation and accounting of

raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory

. Monitor stock movements and reconcile discrepancies between books and physical stock.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting



Assist in

annual budget preparation and periodic forecasting

. Perform

variance analysis

of actual vs. budget and provide actionable insights to management. Support management with

financial models and projections

for business growth and expansion.

4. Accounts Payable / Receivable & Treasury



Supervise

day-to-day accounting operations

, including accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, and treasury management. Manage

vendor payments, credit control, customer collections, and aging analysis

. Monitor

cash flow, working capital, and liquidity

to support operational requirements.

5. Internal Controls & Process Improvement



Develop, implement, and monitor

robust internal controls

to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance. Identify opportunities for

automation, digitization, and process improvements

in the finance function. Conduct

internal audits

and mitigate financial and operational risks.

6. Team Leadership & Collaboration



Mentor and guide

junior accountants

in daily tasks and professional development. Collaborate with senior management to provide

financial insights for decision-making

. Ensure the finance team maintains

accuracy, timeliness, and accountability

in reporting.

Mandatory RequirementsEducation



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.

Mandatory:

Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (CMA), or equivalent professional qualification (preferred).

Experience



Minimum

5-7 years of relevant experience

, including at least

2 years in a senior/supervisory role

. Strong experience in

financial reporting, compliance, taxation, and cost accounting

. Industry experience in

manufacturing/export/retail

preferred.

Technical Skills



Proficiency in

Tally ERP, SAP, QuickBooks, or other ERP/accounting software

. Advanced knowledge of

MS Excel

(Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros). In-depth understanding of

IND-AS, IFRS/GAAP, GST, TDS, and statutory compliances

.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
