A Senior Accountant with GST and TDS knowledge will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring tax compliance, and preparing financial statements. This includes tasks like GST return filing, TDS calculations and deduction, and maintaining accurate accounting records. They will also play a key role in month-end and year-end closing, financial analysis, and reporting, while collaborating with other teams and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
GST Compliance:
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) accurately and on time.
Reconcile GST input tax credit and output tax liability.
Handle GST audits and assessments, including responding to notices.
Ensure compliance with GST regulations and stay updated on changes.
Verify invoices for correct GST application.
TDS Compliance:
Calculate and deduct TDS as per applicable regulations.
File TDS returns (Form 26Q, etc.).
Manage TDS certificates and related documentation.
Financial Accounting:
Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss).
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Perform bank reconciliations.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Conduct financial analysis and identify trends.
Other:
Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
Assist with budgeting and financial planning.
Support internal and external audits.
Utilize accounting software (Tally, SAP, etc.).
Stay updated on accounting and tax regulations.
