Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain complete
books of accounts
(ledgers, journals, vouchers)
Handle
cash book, bank book, and petty cash
Perform
bank and ledger reconciliations
Ensure accurate accounting entries in
Zoho Books
Invoicing & Travel Billing
Prepare and issue
invoices for tour packages, visas, tickets, hotels, and services
Generate
cash bills and tax invoices
as applicable
Track customer receivables and follow up for collections
Account for
agent commissions, discounts, and refunds
Vendor & Payment Management
Manage vendor accounts (airlines, hotels, transporters, agents)
Process vendor bills and ensure timely payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Prepare and file
GST returns
(GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliation)
Handle
Income Tax Returns (ITR)
and TDS compliances
Ensure GST compliance specific to travel services (domestic & international)
Coordinate with CA/auditors for assessments and audits
Reports & MIS
Prepare
monthly MIS reports
, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
Analyze
route/package-wise profitability
Provide financial reports to management for decision-making
Documentation & Filing
Maintain proper documentation of
invoices, vouchers, bills, and statutory records
Ensure systematic physical and digital filing for audit purposes
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Commerce / Accounting / Finance
4-7 years of accounting experience (preferably in
travel/tour industry
)
Strong hands-on experience with
Zoho Books
Good knowledge of
travel-related GST, invoicing, and reconciliations
Proficiency in
MS Excel
and accounting software
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred
Experience in
travel agencies, tour operators, or forex companies
Knowledge of
international invoicing and foreign currency accounting
Compensation
Salary: As per experience and skill set
