Job Overview:

We are seeking a

highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant

to manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department in our trading business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, experience handling high-volume transactions, and a good understanding of the trading industry's financial processes, including inventory and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the complete accounting cycle: journal entries, ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and finalization of accounts Maintain and manage all financial records, ledgers, and reports in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements Handle

GST filing

,

TDS compliance

,

Income Tax

returns, and

other statutory obligations

Prepare and analyze

monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

Monitor and manage

accounts payable (AP)

and

accounts receivable (AR)

, credit control, and collections Reconcile

bank statements

, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers Monitor

inventory and stock accounting

and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and books Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government departments Supervise junior accountants or support staff, and provide guidance and training where needed Ensure internal financial controls are implemented and maintained Handle

costing, pricing, and profit margin analysis

for trading goods Coordinate with purchase and sales teams to track orders, dispatches, and payments Use accounting software (Tally Prime or ERP) for daily bookkeeping and report generation Prepare management reports for decision-making, including cash flow, profit & loss, and balance sheet

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree

in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field

5 to 8+ years of experience

in accounting, preferably in a

trading or distribution company

Strong knowledge of

Tally ERP/Tally Prime

, Excel, and reporting tools Expertise in

GST, TDS, taxation, and statutory compliance

Experience in handling

audits and coordination with CAs

Ability to

multitask

, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills

Preferred Skills:

Working knowledge of inventory accounting and cost analysis Experience in export-import documentation and billing (if applicable) Familiarity with warehouse stock management systems Exposure to digital invoicing, e-way bill generation, and online tax portals
