JOB TITLE:
Senior Accountant
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Handle client and subcontractor billing, including RA bills, final bills, and reconciliation of accounts
Coordinate with project teams, billing engineers, and procurement for proper cost allocation and documentation.
Monitor project-wise financial transactions.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and project-wise profitability reports.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, and income tax filings.
Review and validate subcontractor invoices in line with contracts and work progress reports.
Maintain financial records of project expenditures, materials reconciliation, and advances.
Support audits (internal/external) by preparing necessary schedules and responding to audit queries.
Analyze cost deviations and highlight risks or discrepancies to senior management for timely action.
Liaise with banks, tax consultants, and government departments as needed.
Stay updated on financial regulations and construction industry-specific accounting practices.
Having Good knowledge in Taxation Rules

Required Skills:
Experience in billing, financial reporting, and reconciliation in the construction domain.
Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting software.
Sound understanding of GST, TDS, income tax, and other financial regulations.
Accuracy and attention to detail in handling large volumes of financial data.
Strong communication skills for effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
Experience in handling project-based accounting in real estate, commercial buildings, or infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with construction billing formats (e.g., CPWD/PWD) and coordination with QS/billing teams.
Knowledge of ERP systems used in the construction industry.
Ability to analyze and interpret project cost reports, BOQ, and vendor contracts.
Understanding of project cash flows, retention, advances, and mobilization accounting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.
5-10 years of experience
in accounting roles within the
construction or infrastructure
industry.
