Location: APIIC State Food Park, Mallavalli Village, Near Hanuman Junction, Krishna District, AP.
Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting management with timely analysis for decision-making. The role requires hands-on experience in manufacturing and distribution accounting including costing, inventory management, receivables/payables, and tax compliance.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Manage and oversee the entire accounting process general ledger, journal entries, trial balance, and reconciliations.
Ensure accuracy in books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Review and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
Manage vendor and customer accounts; ensure timely posting of all invoices and receipts.
2. Costing & Inventory Management
Monitor raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory valuations.
Work closely with the production and stores teams to ensure accurate stock accounting.
Calculate product costing and margins, including BOM (Bill of Materials) verification.
Support management in pricing decisions based on actual manufacturing costs and overheads.
3. Payables & Receivables
Ensure timely payments to vendors and follow up on outstanding receivables.
Review and reconcile supplier and customer ledgers periodically.
Support the sales and logistics teams in resolving invoice or payment discrepancies.
4. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Handle GST computation, return filing, and reconciliation with books of accounts.
Prepare TDS workings and ensure timely filing of returns and payments.
Liaise with auditors, consultants, and government departments for statutory audits and assessments.
Maintain compliance with PF, ESI, and other applicable financial laws.
5. Financial Reporting & MIS
Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
Provide management with periodic financial analysis and variance reports.
Monitor budget vs actual performance and highlight deviations.
Support management in preparing financial forecasts and annual budgets.
6. Audit & Controls
Ensure proper internal controls are in place across financial processes.
Assist in internal and statutory audits by preparing and providing necessary documentation.
Recommend process improvements for better control and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA (Finance).
Experience:
7-8 years of experience in accounting; preferably in FMCG, food, or confectionery manufacturing & distribution.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of Tally Prime / ERP systems.
Proficiency in MS Excel & Office and Google Sheets.
Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.

Languages:
