Job Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned Accountant with substantial hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting. The ideal candidate will be an expert in

Tally

, possess impeccable skills in

petty cash and working capital management

, and have a proven track record of

independently liaising with Chartered Accountants for end-to-end statutory compliance

. You will be the cornerstone of our financial accuracy and procedural integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting:

Manage complete bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records in

Tally Prime/ERP 9

. Handle all accounting entries (sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journals) with precision. Perform monthly closing activities, including bank reconciliations and ledger finalization. Prepare and present monthly trial balances, and assist in drafting Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.

Cash & Treasury Management:

Own the end-to-end petty cash system:

maintenance, disbursement, documentation, and weekly/monthly reconciliation. Monitor cash flow and manage working capital requirements effectively. Ensure robust internal controls over cash handling and reporting.

Statutory Compliance & Liaison:

Act as the primary point of contact for our Chartered Accountant (CA) firm

for all compliance matters.

Prepare and file

monthly GST returns, quarterly TDS returns, and ensure timely payments. Prepare necessary data, schedules, and documentation for monthly, quarterly, and annual audits. Ensure full adherence to GST, TDS, Company Law, and other relevant statutory regulations.

Process & Advisory Support:

Oversee accounts payable and receivable cycles, ensuring efficiency. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as required. Identify opportunities for process improvements in the finance function.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. M.Com or relevant certification (e.g., CMA Inter) is a plus.

Minimum of 4 years of proven, hands-on experience

in accounting and finance, preferably in retail, wellness, FMCG, or a similar fast-paced environment.

Expert-level proficiency in Tally accounting software (Prime/ERP 9) is non-negotiable.

Demonstrated experience (4+ years) in managing petty cash, bank reconciliations, and core accounting functions.

Proven experience of at least 3-4 years in directly liaising with a CA firm for GST filing, TDS compliance, and audit preparation.

In-depth understanding of Indian accounting standards, GST, and TDS regulations. High integrity, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy. Excellent communication skills in English and Malayalam, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external advisors. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with inventory accounting. Advanced skills in MS Excel.
