The Accounts Manager will oversee and manage all financial and accounting operations for the pharmaceutical company. The role includes financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, auditing support, and ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions. The candidate must have strong knowledge of pharma industry regulations, GST, TDS, inventory accounting, and statutory compliances.
Prepare and maintain daily accounting records, ledgers, and financial statements.
Ensure accurate recording of sales, purchases, credit notes, debit notes, and inventory adjustments.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare MIS reports, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
2. Compliance & Taxation
Handle GST filing, reconciliation, and compliance.
Manage TDS deduction, returns, and related statutory documentation.
Ensure compliance with pharma-specific regulations in financial operations.
Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits.
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Monitor vendor payments, purchase orders, and outstanding balances.
Track customer outstanding dues and ensure timely collection.
Perform reconciliation of bank accounts, vendor accounts, and customer accounts.
4. Inventory & Costing
Oversee inventory accounting as per pharma industry standards.
Coordinate with stores and production teams for stock verification.
Assist in product costing, batch costing, and consumption reports.
5. Financial Planning & Control
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.
Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial efficiency.
6. Coordination & Communication
Liaise with cross-functional teams--sales, logistics, production, and quality.
Communicate financial insights to management for decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance).
3-7 years of experience in accounting; pharma industry experience preferred.
Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and Indian accounting standards.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Tally, Oracle, etc.).
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
Strong communication and team management abilities.

Knowledge of drug regulatory compliance affecting finance.
Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
