Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
Prepare, analyze, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
Monitor and maintain the general ledger and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Assist in developing budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor and report on variances between actual and budgeted figures.
Provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Taxation and Compliance
Ensure timely filing of GST, VAT, income tax, and other statutory returns.
Support audits and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Stay updated with changes in tax laws and accounting regulations.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
Oversee the management of accounts payable and receivable processes.
Perform credit risk analysis and implement effective collection strategies.
Ensure timely payments and receipts to maintain cash flow efficiency.
Internal Controls and Process Improvement
Design and implement internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and systems.
Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Team Supervision
Lead, mentor, and manage junior accounting staff.
Conduct training sessions to enhance team capabilities.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in team deliverables.
Other Responsibilities
Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as required by management.
Support strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.
Participate in cross-functional projects to improve organizational efficiency.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, QuickBooks, or Oracle).
Advanced skills in MS Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Strong knowledge of taxation, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
