We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and analysis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant industry regulations.
Coordinate with auditors during financial audits and implement recommendations.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with company goals.
Monitor budget performance and prepare variance analyses.
Cost Accounting:
Analyze manufacturing costs and variances to support pricing strategies and operational efficiency.
Implement and maintain cost control measures.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing and accurate reporting.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate payment terms.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Assist in tax preparation and filing processes.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analyses to support business decisions, including ROI and profitability assessments.
Provide insights on financial performance and suggest improvements.
Team Leadership:
Mentor and train junior accounting staff.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or chemical industries.
Strong knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
