Woking Schedule: Mon - Sat (10:00am - 7:00pm)

Key Responsibilities



Vendor Payments & Accounts Payable



Payment Management:

Oversee the complete cycle of accounts payable, specifically for construction projects (materials, subcontracts, labor, machinery rental).

Vendor & Subcontractor Payments:

Process, verify, and track all incoming vendor invoices, ensuring proper approvals are obtained according to project budgets and purchase orders.

Retainage Management:

Accurately track and manage retainage payable to subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely release as per contract terms and completion certificates.

Reconciliation & Month-End Closing (30%)



Bank & Ledger Reconciliation:

Perform timely and accurate reconciliation of all bank accounts, cash/fund flow statements, and major general ledger accounts (e.g., Accounts Payable, Advance accounts).

Inter-Company/Project Reconciliation:

Reconcile all financial transactions occurring between various construction projects and inter-company accounts.

Month-End Support:

Assist with the monthly and annual financial closing process, ensuring all entries are recorded accurately and deadlines are met.

Tax Compliance (GST & TDS) (20%)



GST Compliance:

Prepare and ensure timely and accurate filing of all Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).

Input Tax Credit (ITC):

Monitor, verify, and reconcile Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims, ensuring maximum utilization and compliance with GST rules specific to the construction sector.

TDS Management:

Handle all aspects of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), including calculating, deducting, depositing, and filing quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q), with particular attention to TDS on works contracts.

General Accounting & Audits (10%)



Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and track construction-in-progress (CIP) accounts. Assist in the preparation of schedules and documentation required for statutory, tax, and internal audits. Ensure adherence to all company accounting policies and statutory regulations.

Required Qualifications



Experience:

Minimum of

2-5 years

of experience in core accounting roles, with a mandatory focus of at least

1 years

in the

construction, real estate, or general contracting industry

.

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.

Technical Skills:

Proven, expert proficiency with an ERP system, Tally Prime is essential.

Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.

Knowledge:

Deep, practical understanding of Indian taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax provisions) as they apply specifically to works contracts, subcontractors, and construction material procurement.

Preferred Qualifications



CA Inter/CMA Inter qualification. Direct experience handling GST and TDS audits. Familiarity with the accounting treatment of RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) requirements.
