Role Overview

The Academic Consultant is responsible for guiding students in selecting suitable academic programs and institutions based on their career goals, academic background, and interests. The role involves counseling, admissions support, and maintaining strong relationships with students and partner institutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Counseling & Guidance

Counsel students on available courses, universities, and career pathways Understand student profiles and recommend suitable academic options Provide accurate information on admissions criteria, eligibility, and timelines

Admissions Support

Assist students with application processes and documentation Follow up with students to ensure timely submission of forms and fees Coordinate with universities regarding application status and offers

Lead Management & Follow-ups

Handle leads provided by the organization through calls, emails, and meetings Maintain proper follow-up records and update CRM systems regularly Convert inquiries into confirmed admissions

Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with internal teams for smooth processing of applications Prepare daily/weekly reports on inquiries, conversions, and pending cases Maintain confidentiality of student data and company information

Professional Conduct

Represent the organization in a professional and ethical manner Stay updated on new courses, universities, and admission policies Meet assigned targets and performance expectations

Required Skills & Qualifications

Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to counsel and convince students effectively Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, CRM systems) Goal-oriented with a positive attitude

Preferred Experience

0-3 years of experience in education counseling, admissions, or sales Experience in academic consulting or student advisory roles is an advantage
