Role Overview
The
Senior Academic Counsellor - Linux
will be responsible for guiding students and professionals toward specialized careers in Linux system administration, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps. The role involves career counselling, admissions management, and driving enrolments for globally recognized Linux certifications under the Technovalley Infrastructure Stack.
Key Responsibilities
Counsel students, graduates, and IT professionals about Linux certifications (LPI, CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA/RHCE) and related career opportunities.
Explain course content, certification roadmap, and placement assistance provided by Technovalley.
Convert inquiries into admissions through effective career guidance and follow-up.
Manage daily outreach through calls, emails, and virtual consultations.
Maintain accurate student records and follow the CRM process for lead management.
Collaborate with the marketing and academic teams for events, webinars, and promotions.
Conduct or participate in online/offline career orientation sessions.
Report daily, weekly, and monthly progress on leads and conversions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Linux, Cloud, and Infrastructure job market trends.
Requirements
Graduate or Postgraduate in Computer Science, IT, or Management.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in academic counselling or EdTech admissions, preferably in IT or Linux-related programs.
Strong communication and persuasive skills in English and Malayalam.
Target-oriented with proven record of meeting monthly admission goals.
Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and Google Workspace tools.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Linux certifications (LPI, Red Hat, CompTIA Linux+) and career roles.
Understanding of Cloud and DevOps pathways related to Linux systems.
Experience conducting webinars or technical career awareness sessions.
Team coordination and mentoring skills.
