The Academic Coordinator will play a key role in leading and managing academic operations across online tutoring programs. This includes handling a team of class coordinators, maintaining academic quality, managing tutor hiring and training, and ensuring parent satisfaction. A technical degree is mandatory to ensure subject relevance and academic depth. This role requires strong cross-functional coordination with sales, finance, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision
: Lead class coordinators and ensure timely class scheduling and resolution of parent/student concerns.
Session Coordination:
Oversee scheduling and execution of online tutoring sessions across batches and subjects.
Parent Engagement
: Be the primary point of contact for escalations, proactively managing parent relationships and ensuring no academic complaints.
: Track class delivery, student-tutor alignment, and progress to ensure academic goals are met.
Syllabus & Content Planning:
Collaborate with subject heads to align content and syllabus timelines; ensure tutor preparedness.
PAMs
: Conduct regular Parent-Academic Meetings (PAMs) to update parents on progress and gather feedback.
Receivable Coordination
: Collaborate with class coordinators and accounts to ensure timely fee collections. Cross-Department Coordination: Work with sales, marketing, and tech teams to align academic planning with operational goals.
Standard Alignment:
Ensure that all tutoring programs follow curriculum standards and institutional guidelines.
Reporting
: Maintain academic trackers and submit weekly updates on delivery, feedback, receivables, and escalations.
Qualifications
B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech (mandatory) - Engineering or technical degree required.
Strong academic operations background with
at least 2-3 years
of coordination/management experience.
Proven experience in team handling, tutor lifecycle management, and academic planning. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with CRM, Google Sheets, MS Office, and EdTech platforms.
Eligibility Criteria
Should have handled coordination across departments and managed academic delivery across multiple subjects.
Must have worked in parent-facing roles and resolved service complaints. Willing to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with flexible hours if required.
