Job Description

We are seeking a skilled 5G Core Engineer with expertise in designing, deploying, and optimizing private cellular networks for enterprise and mission-critical environments. The role requires deep knowledge of 5G Core network functions, cloud-native environments, and hands-on integration experience. The ideal candidate will also have proven experience in drafting and responding to RFPs for telecom solutions, supporting both technical and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, and optimize 5G Core network elements (AMF, SMF, UPF, AUSF, UDM, NRF, PCF, NSSF, NEF, etc.) for private LTE/5G deployments. Perform end-to-end lifecycle activities including requirements gathering, solution design, lab validation, field deployment, and optimization. Draft, review, and respond to RFPs/RFIs, including creation of technical requirements, compliance matrices, and vendor evaluations. Troubleshoot and resolve core network issues across signaling, session management, and user plane functions. Lead EPC-to-5G Core migrations, ensuring backward compatibility for LTE/EPC subscribers. Collaborate with radio, transport, and security teams to ensure seamless interoperability. Conduct PoC trials, integration testing, and certification of 5G Core solutions. Ensure compliance with 3GPP standards, cloud-native principles, MEC integration, and network slicing requirements. Support enterprise and vertical use cases such as IoT, critical communications, and industrial automation. Document solution architectures, processes, and lessons learned for continuous improvement. Interface with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to present solutions and defend proposals. Knowledge of IMS, VoLTE, VoNR, and integration with IP Multimedia subsystems.
