About the department Global Information Security, GBS is an area within Digital Data and IT GBS. Global Information Security, GBS is an integral part of Global Information Security Organisation of Novo Nordisk which is headed by the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) and consists of two main areas: Global Security Operations (GSO) and Global Information Security Advisory (GISA). In GIS (Global Information Security) GBS (Global Business service), we work closely with Global Information Security organisation in defining and executing on strategy to support the digital journey of Novo Nordisk by ensuring smooth operations of SOC, Service Management, advisory support, Security Mailbox, and various other Information Security functions. The Position As Security Specialist, you shall primarily be responsible for working on a portfolio of services at DD&IT GBS GSO Technology and Service Operations within Global Information Security in GBS. You will be responsible for deploying and maintaining IT systems owned by the Global Security Operations team including security operations applications and underlying infrastructure. These systems provide log collection, SIEM, SOAR, case management, vulnerability assessment, threat intelligence, and privileged identity management for IT Security analysts and stakeholders throughout the organization. Your primary responsibility will be: Administer applications, operating systems, and virtual infrastructure through command line interfaces, web-based interfaces, and write automated playbooks where possible to manage configurations and infrastructure as code for deployed applications. Configuration management, change management, Lifecyle management, vulnerability management, and license management. Administers applications providing capabilities such as log collection, SIEM (Security information and event management), SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response), case management, vulnerability assessment, threat intelligence, and privileged identity management. Administers Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version 7, 8, and 9 including patching, troubleshooting, application support, VMware virtual infrastructure including patching and troubleshooting. Monitor hardware failures and coordinates remediation. You will automate administrative tasks with Ansible, Python, and shell scripting. Leverages understanding of TCP/IP network fundamentals to solve problems and administers storage including NAS (Network-attached storage) and vSAN (virtual storage area network). Additionally, you will be responsible for performing changes to maintain systems and meet emergent requirements from stakeholders. You will be maintaining documentation to manage and transfer knowledge, requirements, and tests supporting systems qualification. You will ensure alignment with IT Quality processes and procedures & successfully complete all Quality and GIA audits. You will communicate and align with LOB stakeholders, system owners, project owners and business process owners. You will participate in strategic projects for Global Security Operations and coordinate with Global teams. Qualification BE, MBA, MCA, or similar graduate degree in in Information Technology, Information Security, or related field. 10+ years of experience in IT and 8+ years of hands-on experience on systems administration and technology management experience is required. Must have good experience in Splunk, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Vmware, Ansible, tenable network security, CyberArk, Microsoft Azure experience. Related certifications are desirable. 3+ years\' experience working in an enterprise IT required. Experience with cloud computing technology required. Exhibit good experience of networking technologies and protocols. Good experience of Windows and Active Directory. Ability to proactively manage multiple deadlines and organize resources and priorities to meet them. Ability to collaborate and communicate with external parties, primarily with IT Security, GSO organisations and users. Demonstrate an exceptional ability to work with stakeholders at the highest organisational level. Must have excellent communication skills. It shall be expected of you to be highly self-motivated to work independently, within delegated authority, with minimal or no supervision.
