Role Overview

We are looking for a

SOC Trainer

with deep expertise in Security Operations, Incident Response, and Threat Analysis. The trainer will deliver hands-on training sessions, mentor students on real-world SOC practices, and design training modules aligned with industry standards such as

SIEM, SOAR, Threat Hunting, and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks

.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in conducting basic training sessions on SOC operations, log analysis, and incident handling. Support senior trainers in delivering hands-on sessions using tools like Splunk, QRadar, ELK Stack, SIEM, SOAR, and Wireshark. Help in developing and maintaining lab exercises, mini attack simulations, and real-world case studies. Monitor and record trainee participation, assist in evaluations, and provide basic feedback under guidance. Collaborate with academic and technical teams to update and organize SOC training materials. Learn and assist in explaining SOC Tier 1 operations, alert analysis, and escalation procedures. Guide students in preparing for beginner-level cybersecurity certifications.

Required Skills & Knowledge

Strong knowledge in

Network Security, Incident Handling, Threat Intelligence, and Log Monitoring.

Understanding of

MITRE ATT&CK

,

NIST

, and

SOC playbooks

. Familiarity with

Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR)

tools and

Threat Hunting

methodologies. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students with varying technical backgrounds.

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or any degree. Minimum

0-2 years of experience

in SOC operations or cybersecurity training. Certifications preferred:

CEH, Splunk Certified, EC-Council CSA, or similar.
