General Responsibilities:
Acts as the first point of contact and ensure the resort is adequately secured at all times.
Supervise all security personnel and give clear direction on all security-related aspects.
Under the direction of the General Manager, oversees and directs all aspects of security of the resort to achieve the highest possible fire, life safety, and security standards.
To protect and safeguard all resort guests, employees, their belongings and all resort assets.
Communicate clearly to ensure effective shift hand-overs.
Keep a watch on unusual, illegal or dangerous activities occurring within the resort's premises.
Actively participate in organized meetings.
Specific Responsibilities:
Direct, coordinate, assign duties and schedule the activities of all security personnel.
Ensure that all security staff provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.
Ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, visitors, and contractors at all times.
Responsible for managing the security and fire life safety risks faced by the resort and reports them directly to the General Manager with suggestions for resolution.
Liaise with all department heads to ensure resort employees are adhering to established security procedures.
Record and notify all risks, deviations from resorts safety standards and any untoward incidents.
Leads and guides the efforts of the Fire and Safety Committee.
Oversees the first aid program for guests and employees.
Monitor staff/vendor/material activities and in/out movements within the resort.
Watch for suspicious persons entering, exiting or loitering around the resort public or guest areas.
Follows up on all unusual activities in and around the resort that would impair the wellbeing of guests and employees.
Ensure compliance with all security standards and preventative measures.
Monitor and follow proper key control guidelines as per the resort's BRISOP.
Conduct investigations and compile reports in a timely manner for any theft, loss, accidents or any aspect that risk the safety of the resort.
Liaise with government officials and local police department.
Develops and maintains a monthly checklist for all CCTV equipment, alarmed doors, and panic alarms to ensure that they are fully functional.
Conduct regular mock fire evacuation drills as per the resorts emergency standards.
Develops and advises key personnel on emergency procedures.
Implements action plans to monitor and control risk.
Establish crisis management and contingency planning.
Conduct regular walk through rounds for observing the entire resort.
Coordinate with external police authorities in the investigation and handling of crimes, accidents, movement of Government officials, involving the resort, its employees and / or guests
Perform all tasks consistently in line with the resort standards and adhere to all legal and statutory requirements.
Interview, select, review and train new security officers according to resorts standards to maintain order throughout the resort.
Responsible for achieving a score of 90% in the Audit for security operations and create a plan of action for the shortcomings.
Be available 24 hours a day for genuine emergencies within the property.
Prepare daily incident reports, requisitions, ensure that all allegations of the crime and other incidents are investigated and properly documented.
Responsible to maintain the security equipment of the resort.
