Summary

Responsible for leading a regional security team responsible for the safety and security of the company's geographically dispersed facilities, assets and employees, while overseeing daily protective operations, implementing security programs and projects, and developing and meeting short and long term strategic security goals. The position will be responsible for the security of Northern Trust facilities located in eight countries in the Asia Pacific region.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

1.Manages a regional security team including administering the performance management process, allocating staffing resources, providing input for recruiting, hiring, reassignment and disciplinary actions, and developing annual and specialized training for staff.

2. Develops strategic security goals and priorities, and organizes and monitors the work performed to timely, fully and accurately achieve goals and priorities.

3. Oversees the budget management process, including the formulation and execution of operational and capital expense plans.

4. Develops policies, procedures, and best practices related to existing and new security programs and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations in anticipation of audit reviews.

5. Conducts research and analysis of security technology, and develops and presents proposals to senior management for potential acquisition.

6. Develops partnerships and maintains liaison with external government and corporate security agencies (local, regional and state police departments, federal law enforcement organizations, diplomatic services, etc.)

7. Plans, coordinates, and oversees security technology installation projects in the region.

8. Assists in workplace incident or other internal investigations.

Skills/Qualifications:

1.Knowledge of security technology systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV monitoring, to analyze and 2.evaluate the performance of existing systems and recommend new systems.

3.Knowledge of securing facilities through the integration of a security operations center, security technology, security officers and 4.security protocols, including incident response protocols.

5.Knowledge of life safety program components, including team formation and training.

6.The ability to establish and maintain a network of law enforcement, diplomatic services and corporate security organization organizations.

7.Leadership and organizational skills to establish strategic goals, assess and obtain technology and staffing resources, and develop staff knowledge and capabilities.

8. At least 10 years of relevant work experience is preferred, which may include law enforcement or military service

8. A college or university degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred. Related security industry certifications (e.g. ASIS CPP) are also preferred.
