Job Description

Responsible for protecting the construction site, its assets (equipment, materials), and personnel from theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access through vigilant patrolling, access control, surveillance, and emergency response, ensuring a safe and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Access Control:

Monitor and control all entry/exit points, verify credentials, log all visitors, employees, and vehicles (deliveries, contractors).

Patrolling:

Conduct regular foot patrols of the premises, checking fences, gates, storage areas, and equipment for breaches or damage.

Surveillance:

Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, and other security systems for suspicious activity or security breaches.

Theft & Vandalism Prevention:

Act as a visible deterrent to criminals, safeguarding tools, machinery, and materials.

Emergency Response:

Respond to fire, medical, or other emergencies, provide first aid, secure the area, and contact appropriate emergency services.

Reporting & Documentation:

Prepare detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and log all security-related events.

Safety Enforcement:

Ensure compliance with site safety rules, check for PPE, and report hazards or safety violations to supervisors.

Incident Handling:

Detain trespassers or suspects according to legal protocols until authorities arrive.

Qualifications & Skills:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Security Guard License/Certification (as required by local laws). Experience in site security, law enforcement, or military (preferred). Strong observation skills, attention to detail. Excellent communication (radio, verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations. Knowledge of first aid and CPR (certification often required). Familiarity with security technology (CCTV, access control systems).
