Job Summary

The Security Guard is responsible for protecting people, property, and assets by maintaining a safe and secure environment. This role involves monitoring premises, enforcing rules and regulations, and responding to incidents or emergencies in a professional and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to monitor for suspicious activity Control access to buildings, entrances, and exits Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and security systems Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access Respond to emergencies, alarms, and disturbances promptly Report incidents, accidents, and safety hazards accurately Enforce company policies and safety procedures Assist visitors, employees, or the public as needed Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when required

Qualifications and Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience as a security guard or in a related field (preferred) Valid security guard license/certification (if required by law) Strong observation and communication skills Ability to remain calm under pressure Basic knowledge of security and safety practices Physically able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
