Key Responsibilities

Security & Protection

Patrol hotel property interior and exterior to ensure safety and deter unauthorized/ suspicious activity. Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems; report irregularities promptly. Control access at entrances, check visitor and vendor credentials, and enforce authorized entry. Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms; coordinate with EMS or law enforcement as necessary.

Incident Reporting & Documentation

Complete detailed incident reports, logs, and shift summaries accurately and promptly. Maintain confidentiality of all security reports, records, and documentation.

Emergency Response

Assist guests and employees during emergency situations, evacuations, or life safety incidents. Participate in regular emergency drills and implement crisis response procedures.

Customer Service & Liaison

Provide courteous assistance to guests and hotel staff while maintaining a strong security presence. Escort unwelcome persons off the property in compliance with hotel protocols. Liaise with local law enforcement, fire services, and emergency responders when required.

Safety Inspections

Conduct daily safety inspections to identify physical hazards; recommend corrective actions to minimize risks. Monitor key control systems, visitor passes, and fire protection equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional security certifications preferred. Prior experience in security, loss prevention, law enforcement, or similar field (hotel experience is a plus). Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle conflicts professionally. Physically fit and able to patrol and stand for extended periods. Basic computer skills for incident reports and surveillance monitoring
