Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that any potential threats are addressed promptly. Candidates with backgrounds in law enforcement, military service, or prior security experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain the security of the premises. Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Operate surveillance equipment including CCTV systems to monitor activities within the facility. Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR as necessary until emergency services arrive. Document incidents and prepare reports on any irregularities or disturbances observed during shifts. Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to ensure safety protocols are upheld. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property. Manage conflicts effectively by utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR is essential; certification is a plus. Familiarity with surveillance systems including CCTV technology is advantageous. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail in identifying potential security threats. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
