Core Technical Competencies

- Understanding of Network Protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, DNS, HTTP/S, FTP, etc.

- Firewall and IDS/IPS Configuration: Tools like Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Snort, Suricata.

- Network Access Control (NAC): Familiarity with 802.1X, RADIUS, and role-based access control. Cisco ISE experience

- VPN and Secure Tunnelling: Implementation of IPsec, SSL VPNs, and site-to-site configurations.

- SIEM and Log Analysis: Tools like Splunk, QRadar, ELK Stack; log correlation and threat detection.

- Network Segmentation & Zero Trust Architecture: Design segmented networks and apply Zero Trust

- principles.

- Compliance Standards: ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, GDPR, HIPAA.

- Threat Modelling & Risk Assessment: Identify vulnerabilities and assess potential impact.

Certifications

: CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CCNP Security, Palo Alto

PCNSA/PCNSE.
