About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our team. As a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure of our organization. You will work closely with our development teams to ensure the security and integrity of our systems, applications, and data.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Architecture:

Design and implement secure architectures for our systems, applications, and infrastructure.

Security Testing:

Perform security testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in our systems and applications.

Incident Response:

Participate in incident response activities, including investigating security incidents, containing and eradicating threats, and implementing remediation measures.

Threat Modeling:

Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations, standards, and best practices, such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST.

Security Awareness:

Educate developers, IT staff, and end-users on security best practices and promote a culture of security awareness.

Security Tools:

Evaluate, implement, and manage security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices and integrate security into the software development lifecycle.

Preferred Experience:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years of experience in security engineering, security architecture, or a related field. Certifications: Relevant security certifications, such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+. Technical Skills: Proficiency in security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and access control systems. Experience with cloud security, containerization, and DevOps practices. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

Cloud Security: Experience with cloud security platforms, such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure. DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous monitoring. Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, Java, or C++. Security Frameworks: Experience with security frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework or MITRE ATT&CK.
