Summary: As a QRadar L1 Security Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, triaging, and escalating security incidents using IBM QRadar SIEM. You will be the first line of defense in identifying potential threats and ensuring timely response and documentation. Roles & Responsibilities: o Monitor security alerts and events in QRadar SIEM console o Perform initial triage of incidents based on severity and impact o Escalate validated incidents to L2/L3 teams with detailed documentation o Track and follow up on incident status and resolution o Maintain incident logs and update ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) o Support daily health checks of QRadar components and log sources o Assist in tuning false positives and rule optimization under guidance o Participate in shift handovers and maintain shift reports Professional & Technical Skills: 0-3 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT operations o Basic understanding of SIEM concepts and QRadar architecture o Familiarity with log formats (Windows, Linux, Firewall, IDS/IPS) o Knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors o Strong analytical and communication skills o Willingness to work in 24x7 rotational shifts Additional Information: o Exposure to incident response workflows o Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy) o Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash) for log parsing or automation
