Summary: The QRadar L3 Security Analyst is a senior member of the SOC team, responsible for leading complex investigations, optimizing SIEM use cases, and driving threat detection and response strategies. This role requires deep expertise in QRadar, threat intelligence, and incident response. Key Responsibilities o Lead investigation and response for high-severity security incidents o Design, implement, and optimize QRadar correlation rules, offenses, and custom use cases o Integrate new log sources and ensure complete visibility across the environment o Perform threat hunting using QRadar and external threat intelligence feeds o Conduct forensic analysis and root cause investigations for advanced threats o Collaborate with SOC, IR, and threat intelligence teams to improve detection capabilities o Develop and maintain QRadar dashboards, reports, and offense workflows o Mentor L1 and L2 analysts and conduct training sessions o Participate in red/blue team exercises and tabletop simulations o Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME. - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Facilitate training sessions to enhance team knowledge and skills in security practices. - Evaluate and recommend security tools and technologies to improve the security framework. Professional & Technical Skills: o 5+ years of experience in SOC or cybersecurity operations o Expert-level knowledge of IBM QRadar SIEM (architecture, rule tuning, log source integration) o Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, kill chain, and threat modeling o Experience with forensic tools, malware analysis, and packet capture analysis o Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, Regex) for automation and log parsing o Familiarity with SOAR platforms and integration with QRadar o Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Education & Certifications o Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field o Preferred certifications: o IBM QRadar Certified Deployment Professional o GIAC (GCIA, GCIH), CISSP, CEH, CHFI o CompTIA Security+, CySA+ Additional Information: o Experience in MSSP or multi-tenant environments o Exposure to cloud SIEM integrations (Azure Sentinel, AWS GuardDuty) o Knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, GDPR)
