The telecommunications industry is changing rapidly with shorter technology cycles, increased capital expenditure requirements, digitization and increasing customer expectations from operators. All of this causes pressure on margins & cash flow requiring operators to transform the way they operate, automating and digitizing their processes, upgrading their technology to leverage the power of cloud, AI and other cutting-edge developments.
As the telecommunications industry evolves, we will work with them to help them transform. You will be working on projects across the Americas, EMEIA and APAC and serving the entire telecommunications spectrum including operators, network equipment providers, system integrators, cloud vendors and specialized tool providers.
The opportunity:
In this role at EY GDS Consulting, you will play a key role in shaping innovative solutions for telecom clients, acting as their trusted advisor in transformation towards fully Autonomous Networks. You will apply leading industry standards to solve complex challenges and leverage cutting-edge technologies to help customers visualize, define, implement and monetize Autonomous Networks. You will support the Partners and the Markets team in any opportunities that are initiated by clients.
You will be responsible to create a market for EY offerings across the telecommunications value chain and generate new leads and opportunities based on the client relationships you already have. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivery of key client outcomes on engagements by managing the teams on ground and client expectations of delivery, helping project teams mitigate delivery risk and identifying key issues that hinder outcomes for the client.
To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Consultant with minimum of 10+ Years proven experience and hands-on professional experience in Autonomous Networks driving large programs and should have worked as an Architect/Designer for at least 5 years.

• Understanding of 5G Slicing, 5G SA/NSA networks, IP/MPLS, Optics, IMS, VoLTE, NFV/SDN, Fixed network.
• In depth knowledge of TMForum's "Autonomous Networks" Industry Mission and implementation of various frameworks and standards within this mission.
• In depth knowledge of TMForum's Open Digital Architecture (ODA) and related ODA components along with TMForum Open APIs.
• Experience in architecting Zero-Touch operations, Closed Loop Automation and implementing Intent-Driven Management systems to translate business goals to machine readable "Intents" in telecom domain.
• Applied Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the Autonomous Networks domain.
• Providing Autonomous Networks thought leadership, solution implementation leadership, application expertise and solution vision to clients.
• Experience in one or more of the leading OSS/BSS COTS products from leading vendors such as Ciena Blue Planet, Ericsson, Nokia, Netcracker, etc.
• Hands-on experience in Java, Python, Kubernetes, Microservices, Databases, etc.
• Expertise and experience to provide critical application configuration knowledge or extensive business process expertise across a range of telecoms solutions.
• Expertise and experience to provide thought leadership and guidance on resolving complex implementation and solution issues.
• Expertise and experience to provide thought leadership and best or common practices on business process or solution design for Autonomous Network implementation.
• Expertise to review and approve methods design and development solution documents, internal and external test strategies, plans and scripts.
• Navigate complex client relationships and large transformation related challenges.
• Business architecture experience, translating business demand into service areas aiding technical design.
• Extensive RFP exposure - developing capability needs and supplier liaison.
• Process development for both 'As Is' and 'To Be' to aid requirement and solution definition and scoping.
• Exceptional quantitative skills enabling identification of key business issues and progression of solutions.
• A bachelor's degree in Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology/ or any other relevant discipline.
• Relevant certifications (E.g., TOGAF, eTOM, ODA) are a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Your key responsibilities:

• Provide thought leadership on Autonomous Networks and lead the implementation of related solutions, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Create and maintain GTM and architectural blueprints for autonomous networks solutions.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for network architectures, designs, and processes.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Autonomous networks, AI, and Machine learning.
• Develop and apply solution architecture standards, processes, and principles.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and platforms that support autonomous networking initiatives.
• You will be the day-to-day point of contact for clients and managers on projects. You structure and engage teams to deliver high quality outputs.

• Take the lead in identifying client issues and proposing the most appropriate approach for challenges that the telecommunication industry players face.
• You help develop the business and acquire new clients and engagements, including the identification and pursuit of business opportunities by forging strong client relationships.
• You build and maintain long-term relationships with senior clients.
• You drive strategic discussions regarding business objectives and strategy KPIs.
• Delivering qualified solutions to meet business objectives, providing focus to ensure scope and objectives are maintained throughout the project and program life cycles ensuring benefits realization.
• Result oriented leadership style, setting achievable goals and leading by example - linking commercial and technical arenas.
