Role Overview
The Section Officer - Admissions & Eligibility at
Symbiosis International (Deemed University)
will be responsible for managing the critical processes of document verification, eligibility approvals, and merit listing during the admission cycle. This role ensures compliance with University policies, statutory guidelines, and quality standards while supporting seamless execution of admissions for SNAP, Non-SNAP, SET, and Non-SET programmes across all Symbiosis institutes.

Supervise the preparation and validation of
merit lists
for SNAP/Non-SNAP/SET/Non-SET admissions.
Ensure fair, transparent, and accurate evaluation of eligibility as per SIU and statutory norms.
Liaise with admission offices of Symbiosis institutes to address programme-specific requirements.
Operational Management
Manage day-to-day operations of the
Eligibility Section
during admission cycles.
Ensure timely resolution of urgent or escalated cases related to admissions and eligibility.
Maintain accurate digital and physical records of applicant data, verification reports, and approvals.
Coordinate with IT/ERP teams for smooth functioning of admission-related systems.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure strict adherence to
SIU regulations, UGC, AICTE, and government policies
on eligibility and reservation.
Support audits, inspections, and internal reviews related to admissions.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and candidate experience.
Team Supervision & Stakeholder Coordination
Lead, mentor, and monitor staff in the Admissions & Eligibility team.
Delegate responsibilities effectively and provide training where required.
Collaborate with faculty, institute heads, admissions coordinators, and administrative units across SIU.
Reporting & Communication
Prepare periodic reports and dashboards on admissions progress, verification status, and merit listings.
Draft official communication, guidelines, and FAQs for applicants, parents, and internal stakeholders.
Handle candidate/parent queries in a professional, timely, and empathetic manner.
Skills & Competencies
In-depth knowledge of
university admission processes, eligibility norms, and reservation policies
.
Strong understanding of SIU's admission structure (SNAP/SET/Direct/International admissions).
Proficiency in
ERP/Admission software
and MS Office tools.
Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and analytical ability to manage high-volume admission seasons.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional coordination.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
