An SEO Executive is responsible for improving a company's organic search visibility, driving website traffic, and enhancing overall search engine rankings. The role involves keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization, technical SEO tasks, performance monitoring, and collaboration with content and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. On-Page SEO
Conduct in-depth keyword research using SEO tools (e.g., Google Keyword Planner).
Optimize website content for target keywords, including titles, meta descriptions, headers, and internal linking.
Ensure proper URL structure, schema markup, and overall content optimization.
2. Off-Page SEO
Build and manage effective backlink strategies through outreach, guest posting, and ethical link-building methods.
Monitor and analyze backlink profiles and disavow unhealthy links when necessary.
Promote content across relevant platforms to boost domain authority.
3. Technical SEO
Perform regular website audits to identify issues affecting crawlability, indexing, and site performance.
Optimize site speed, identify broken links, fix duplicate content issues, and ensure XML sitemaps and robots.txt files are up to date.
4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track and analyze key SEO metrics using Google Analytics, Search Console, and other SEO tools.
Stay updated with search engine algorithm changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
5. Content & Strategy Collaboration
Work closely with content writers to guide keyword-based content creation.
Assist in developing SEO-driven content such as blogs, landing pages, and product descriptions.
Contribute to long-term SEO strategies aligned with company goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience as an SEO Executive or a similar role.
Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with local SEO, e-commerce SEO, or technical SEO.
Knowledge of content marketing, social media optimization, and PPC (optional).
Certification in SEO or digital marketing (Google, HubSpot, SEMrush).
Salary Range
