Job Description

A search engine optimization (SEO) job involves improving a website's visibility and organic search rankings through strategies like keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization, technical SEO audits, and competitor analysis. Key responsibilities include optimizing content, building high-quality backlinks, monitoring performance with tools like Google Analytics and SEMrush, and reporting on metrics such as traffic and rankings to enhance user experience and drive more organic traffic. Core Responsibilities

Keyword Research:

Identify and research target keywords to improve search visibility and optimize content accordingly.

On-Page Optimization:

Optimize website content, meta tags, headings, URLs, and internal linking structures to be more search engine friendly.

Off-Page Optimization:

Develop and implement link-building strategies, manage outreach campaigns, and build high-quality backlinks from reputable sites to increase domain authority.

Technical SEO:

Conduct website audits, identify and fix technical issues, and ensure compliance with SEO best practices for technical elements like HTML, sitemaps, and mobile-friendliness.

Content Strategy:

Collaborate with content creators to develop and implement SEO-friendly content strategies and ensure content aligns with keyword strategies.

Performance Analysis:

Track and analyze website performance using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush to monitor key metrics and identify areas for improvement.

Reporting:

Provide regular reports on key SEO metrics, including organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversion rates, to stakeholders.

Competitor Analysis:

Analyze competitors' strategies to identify opportunities and develop plans to outperform them.
Required Skills & Tools

Analytical Skills:

To analyze data and provide actionable insights.

SEO Tools:

Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and SEMrush.

Technical Knowledge:

Understanding of HTML and CSS is often required.

Communication Skills:

Good written and oral communication skills to collaborate with teams and present findings.
