We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer - SDE 2 to join a fast-paced engineering team building scalable, user-centric web applications. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys working across the full stack, has strong ownership of features, and is passionate about building high-quality products using modern JavaScript frameworks. You will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining robust applications while collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering peers.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js to support high-traffic web applications.
• Build responsive, intuitive, and high-performance user interfaces using React.js, ensuring excellent user experience across devices.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements and user stories into technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices and coding standards.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable data exchange between frontend and backend systems.
• Optimize application performance, improve response times, and ensure high availability and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and contributing to overall code quality and team learning.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues, ensuring system stability and reliability.
• Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to support deployments, monitoring, and CI/CD processes.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and help evolve system design as the product scales.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack or backend/frontend development in a product-driven environment.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js, with experience building scalable backend services and APIs.
• Solid hands-on experience with React.js, including component-based architecture, state management, and modern hooks.
• Good understanding of JavaScript fundamentals, asynchronous programming, and modern ES standards.
• Experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and understanding of data modeling and performance considerations.
• Familiarity with RESTful architecture, API security, and integration best practices.
• Exposure to version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to understand system requirements, break down problems, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and a focus on writing quality, scalable code.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies, improve continuously, and take ownership of features end to end.
