Design and implement microservices using

Java (Spring Boot)

and

Vert.x

for backend systems managing media workflows, playback, content management, and user data. Collaborate closely with

Product, DevOps, QA, and Analytics

teams to define, design, develop, and deliver new features. Optimise the system for

high performance, scalability, and reliability

, especially in high-traffic OTT scenarios. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, taking ownership of the

end-to-end development lifecycle

--from design through deployment and maintenance.

Required Skills

Minimum

6+ years

of experience in software development with a focus on

Java

,

Spring Boot

, and

Vert.x

. Strong knowledge of

RESTful APIs

,

microservices architecture

, and

asynchronous programming

patterns. Experience with

cloud platforms

such as

GCP

or

AWS

, including tools like

Cloud Functions

,

serverless frameworks

,

Kafka

, and

Redis

. Solid understanding of

relational (PostgreSQL)

and

NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)

databases. Hands-on experience with

containerization (Docker)

and

orchestration (Kubernetes)

. Familiarity with

media streaming protocols

DRM

, and playback services is a significant plus.
