About the Role

We're looking for a

Senior Software Engineer (SDE III)

with strong expertise in

Node.js

, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture. You'll design and build scalable backend services that power mission-critical integrations, leveraging

Kafka

,

Docker

, and

Kubernetes

to ensure reliability, performance, and observability at scale.#

Key Responsibilities

Architect, build, and maintain

large-scale backend systems using

Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript)

.

Design and implement microservices

deployed via

Docker

and orchestrated on

Kubernetes (GKE/EKS)

. Develop

asynchronous, event-driven systems

using

Apache Kafka

for data streaming and inter-service communication. Work on

scalable APIs

,

webhooks

, and

data synchronization

across multiple third-party platforms.

Mentor engineers

, conduct design and code reviews, and establish best practices for maintainable and secure services. Collaborate closely with

product, devops, and platform teams

to drive technical roadmaps and deliver high-impact features. Monitor system health, optimize performance, and participate in

incident response and root-cause analysis

Technical Skills

Core:

Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, Express.js/NestJS.

Containers & Cloud:

Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GCP/AWS.

Messaging & Data Pipelines:

Apache Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ (bonus).

Storage:

MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse (bonus).

CI/CD:

GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or equivalent pipelines.

Monitoring:

Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry.

Version control:

Git (GitHub/GitLab).

Qualifications

5-8 years of professional experience building backend systems at scale. Deep understanding of

system design, scalability, fault tolerance, and distributed systems

. Experience building

high-availability microservices

and deploying on container orchestration platforms. Prior experience mentoring engineers and driving

technical excellence

. Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills.
