Position Summary

Responsibilities of Scrum Master:

• Scheduling the regular Scrum events for the team.
• Responsible to remove the impediments for the Scrum team.
• Working closely with management to provide visibility on team health and progress.
• Responsible for coaching the Scrum team in the values and practices of Scrum.
• Helps the Product Owner to keep the Product Backlog in good shape and prepare for the next Sprint.
• Organizes and facilitates the Sprint Planning event for the team.
• Responsible to conduct the Retrospective event for team improvement.
• Preparing and providing training in Agile/Scrum practices.
• Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices.
• Interfacing with other teams to coordinate and manage activities/dependencies.
• Synchronize regularly with other Scrum Masters for system-level learning and improvement.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

Education

• Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Scrum Master
• Minimum 10 years of experience in technology industry

Skills

• Comprehensive understanding of Agile principles, and Scrum & Kanban software development methodologies, values, and practices
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types
• Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
• Competency in use of JIRA and Confluence
