About the role

We seek an expert Scrum Master to join our newly formed Field Reporting Service Team. This team supports the US BBU (Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit) Strategic Field Operations (SFO) department and AZ\'s US BBU Field Force for their Reporting & Analytics needs. This individual will serve as the Scrum of Scrum Master by coordinating an ART (Agile Release Train) for a distributed team of 30+ Dev/Ops Report Analysts and Data Engineers, split across 4-5 teams, all of which provide Field Reporting solutions to the US BBU SFO Team. The Scrum of Scrum Master is responsible for effective and efficient management of development and ad-hoc sprints from planning to execution to review in an agile methodology. This role will involve facilitation of daily scrum meetings, collaboration with SFO Business Partners as well as the Field Reporting Service Team, and unblocking barriers to keep the team moving. The ideal candidate will possess collaboration & leadership abilities, and have strong communication & interpersonal skills. This individual should have a passion for bringing standard methodologies into the business while actively sharing business perspectives, knowledge and lessons learned to contribute and support a best-in-class enterprise solution. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Team Lead/Business Analyst (BA) to provide support to individual delivery teams using a servant leadership style and leading by example
  • Lead and facilitate the daily Scrum meetings with the individual Team Leads
  • Management of the Agile Release Train (ART)
  • Assist the team in meeting their delivery goals
  • Facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning
  • Support Iteration Execution
  • Improve Flow and overall effectiveness & efficiency of ART
  • Work with Team Lead/BA to build and maintain a highly effective team
  • Facilitate conflict resolution, in partnership with Team Lead/BA
  • Manage any backlogs, facilitate prioritization or removal of impediments to backlog delivery
  • Provide Quality Assurance review on individual scrum team process and activities (i.e. sprint planning, stand ups, metrics, sprint deliverables, and entry and exit criteria)
  • Assist and facilitate Stakeholder Reviews with SFO on a regular basis.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, Information technology, data analytics, business, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience with implementing data & analytics solutions using Agile methodology
  • Experience as a Scrum Master on an Agile implementation
  • Scrum Master (or equivalent) Agile Certification
  • Experience as a lead managing a complex systems delivery program
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple, dynamic priorities
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
  • Demonstrated experience working in a high-paced, team-oriented environment (including international and cross-functional teams)
  • Strong team player with ability to adjust to a dynamic working environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with US Strategic Field Operations to ensure success of key business processes and coordination on joint initiatives
  • Develop innovative agile practices to create and sustain competitive advantage
  • Monitors the external environment to stay up to date on agile capabilities, both within and outside of pharma, which can be applied within the organization.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a substantial number of business stakeholders and cross-functional business partners
  • Strategic and critical thinking with the ability to engage, build and maintain credibility with Commercial Leadership Team
  • Knowledge of AZ brand and science is highly desirable
  • 1-2 years of experience in data analysis in the pharmaceutical industry
  • 1-2 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales operations, or related field.
