Thermo Fisher was built to serve society and that sense of purpose will continue to enhance innovation and scientific advancement.Thermo Fisher is committed to diversity in its workforce and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer Purpose: The Technical Project Manager (TPM & Scrum Master) will have the responsibility of leading the agile scrum process for project teams involved in delivering the Connect Platform & Ecosystem, Customer tenancy, Authorization, and Digital product subscriptions and entitlements. They will also take on the role of coaching and mentoring the existing team on scrum methodology. Additionally, this Scrum Master will coordinate with various Scrum teams within the Release train and lead release activities to ensure the successful delivery of features in production. Responsibilities:

  • As servant leader you will assist the team in becoming more productive and changing team dynamics by implementing and supporting Scrum and SAFe principles. You will take ownership of promoting continuous improvement while meeting team goals efficiently and effectively. You will encourage the team to work together, speak up and step forward, advocating a self-organizing and self-managing team. You will further actively coach the team and individuals to improve efficiency, autonomy, and agility to react quickly to change.
  • Exhibits the behaviours of a Lean-Agile Leader with a Lean-Agile Approach. Helps the team accept SAFe Core Values, adopt and apply SAFe Principles, and implement SAFe practices.
  • Encourages new ideas, processes and approaches. Champions and enables a culture of technical excellence, multidisciplinary problem-solving, collaboration, consistency, flexibility, execution, quality and effective communication. Adopt and implement practical process improvements (PPI).
  • Represent the team in the "Scrum of Scrums" in order to coordinate the inter-team work within the SAFe train.
  • Provides leadership to staff through supervisors, responsible for the activities on the floor and aids them in making decisions regarding workflow and overtime as needed. Leads in a manner that is consistent with our organizational culture, which is based on four values: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement and on open communication.
  • Works with the Release Train Engineer, Product Management, and product owner to ensure the team is prepared in advance of program-level events such as PI Planning, Inspect and Adapt and system or PI demos.
  • Understanding and working knowledge on Change and Incident Management. Represent team in Change approval board and also lead and work with customers and teams in resolving production incidents
  • Understanding of CI/CD activities and leading and supporting team in continuous build and release activities during every sprint by working with DevOps and Reliability teams
  • Establish key performance indicators that enable change and awareness of the team and leadership. Track, trend, and measure routinely with active data analysis to target and achieve results.
  • Adapt to fast-paced environment and project priority shift effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensuring the team adheres to the QMS (ISO9001:2015) & ISMS (ISO 27001) standards established in the Software development process. They lead and facilitate any vital process changes and support audits in accordance with regulatory body mandates.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team
Candidate Requirement: Education : Bachelors in Engineering or Masters in Computer Science Mandatory Skills, Knowledge and Experience :
  • Experience setting up SAFE and ISO practices from scratch for brand-new teams
  • Knowledge in QMS (ISO9001) & ISMS (ISO 27001)
  • Minimum 5 years as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment across multiple multi-functional teams
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in SAFe framework
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership and/or management experience.
  • Experience, instincts, and passion around testing and testability and driving quality objectives
  • Experience in driving implementation and reporting of Non-Functional Requirements (NFR - Security, Performance, Cost etc.)
  • Ability to optimally document artefacts and processes then explain them to others.
  • Experience in working with Jira and Confluence or any equivalent ALM Tools.
  • You have Agile Scrum Certifications (i.e. SAFe SSM, CSM, PMP-ACP, etc.)
Nice to Have Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
  • Have experience in coaching larger teams in agile practices like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in java/angular-based development/DevOps.
  • Experience in cloud technologies like AWS is appreciated; certification for AWS (e.g., AWS Associate Certificate) or DevOps Professional is an asset
