Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Lead teams in end-to-end Supply Chain Management engagements focused on evaluating current state, identifying opportunities and creating holistic transformation business cases.
  • Engage with cross functional internal and client teams, across business and logistics supply chain, to develop and deliver end-to-end supply chain strategies, cost reduction initiatives and other recommendations.
  • Demonstrate strong SC&O acumen to establish credibility with Global & Country leaders and sponsors as the SC&O community,
  • Competency expertise in 2 or more areas across Supply Chain Strategy, Planning, PLM, Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing, Planning, Product Life Cycle Management and Enterprise asset management to deliver promised value proposition for the client
  • Apply analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills to address the client’s business problem.
  • Assess supply chain functions, processes and information/data, understand gaps to best practices and develop strategies.
  • Excellent understanding of Process Transformation and change management principles
  • Experience in supply chain analytics using standard 3rd party tools and/or ERP’s
  • Should have led / worked with teams of diverse culture

  • Education and experience requirements
  • MBA (Supply Chain/ Operations) and bachelor’s in engineering from Tier 1 institutes with 16- 20 years of relevant business/consulting experience in Supply Chain Management
  • The following qualification(s) are recommended but not mandatory for the candidate to perform the role: Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or any comparable accreditations.
  • Relevant experience within big four accounting firm or large professional services firms with experience in managing complex transformational projects and large teams
  • Experience in running process managed services is Preferred
  • Experience of working in a cross-border, virtual environment and international stint would be preferred
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English

Job description:
The purpose of this role is to lead (a) Supply Chain Managed Services, with focus on key business strategies and issues, demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit and account centricity, (b) build high performing teams and create a shared sense of purpose and commitment based on EY values & behaviours.
This role will be playing a crucial part in a regional and global construct, by:
  • Leading the Consulting engagement and enable transformation for clients by working closely with stake holders across the board
  • Working with the other regional and area leaders to embed their inputs while participating in such an opportunity
  • Acting as a single point of contact and a global SME for 2 or 3 major workstream
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, design thinking and passion for planning would drive this role
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for client and management is an essential part of the role
  • Experience in a consulting firm and global exposure is desirable
  • Effective communication skills and experience in customer facing role is required
  • Collaborate across other GDS Teams in delivering on the broader account agenda
