JD for SCM Team Lead - BESS Project Execution
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain Management (SCM) Team
Lead to join our dynamic team and play a critical role in the successful execution of Battery
Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects. This role will be responsible for leading and
managing all aspects of the procurement and logistics processes for BESS projects, ensuring
timely delivery and cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
xefx82xb7 Procurement Strategy & Planning:
o Develop and implement procurement strategies for BESS projects, including
identifying and qualifying potential suppliers.
o Conduct market research and analysis to identify competitive pricing and
sourcing options.
o Prepare and manage procurement plans, including RFQs, RFPs, and tenders.
o Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.

o Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
o Monitor supplier performance and address any quality or delivery issues.
o Conduct regular supplier evaluations and identify areas for improvement.
xefx82xb7 Logistics & Transportation:
o Plan and manage the logistics and transportation of BESS equipment and
materials.
o Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure timely and
efficient delivery.
o Manage inventory levels and optimize warehouse space.
xefx82xb7 Risk Management:
o Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, such as delays, disruptions,
and price fluctuations.
o Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential challenges.
xefx82xb7 Team Leadership & Management:
o Lead and mentor a team of procurement and logistics specialists.
o Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
o Delegate tasks effectively and provide regular feedback to team members.
xefx82xb7 Project Coordination:
o Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders
to ensure seamless project execution.
o Provide timely updates on procurement and logistics progress.
o Resolve any supply chain-related issues that may arise during project
execution.
xefx82xb7 Cost Control:
o Monitor project costs related to procurement and logistics.
o Identify and implement cost-saving measures.
o Prepare and track project budgets.
Qualifications:
xefx82xb7 Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
xefx82xb7 8+ years of experience in supply chain management within the energy sector, with a
strong preference for experience with BESS projects.
xefx82xb7 Proven experience in procurement planning, contract negotiation, and supplier
management.
xefx82xb7 Strong understanding of international trade and customs regulations.
xefx82xb7 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
xefx82xb7 Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
xefx82xb7 Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
xefx82xb7 Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
Desired Skills:
xefx82xb7 Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
xefx82xb7 Experience with green energy technologies and sustainability initiatives.
xefx82xb7 Knowledge of industry-specific certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP).
xefx82xb7 Experience with project management methodologies.
xefx82xb7 Proficiency in a foreign language.
