SCM Manager
to drive procurement efficiency, optimize inventory, and streamline logistics operations.
Position Overview:
The
SCM Manager
will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, vendor management, material planning, inventory control, and logistics -- specifically tailored to the
PEB domain
. This is a key leadership role requiring a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of steel structures, construction materials, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with project timelines and company goals.
Manage procurement of raw materials, structural steel, fasteners, roofing systems, insulation, paints, and other PEB-related components.
Build and maintain a strong vendor network; negotiate contracts for cost-effective and timely procurement.
Ensure accurate material planning based on project schedules, fabrication capacity, and erection sequences.
Monitor and control inventory levels to reduce wastage and avoid delays.
Oversee transportation and logistics to ensure timely delivery to project sites PAN India.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Analyze supply chain performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Production, Projects, Accounts) to align operations.
Develop procurement budgets, reports, and performance metrics.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Supply Chain Management (MBA preferred).
Minimum 6-8 years of experience
in
SCM/Procurement
, preferably in the
PEB, EPC, or steel construction industry
.
Strong knowledge of PEB components, fabrication timelines, and erection processes.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, Zoho, or custom SCM platforms).
Proven leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Strong vendor management and cost optimization abilities.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multi-site procurement and logistics operations PAN India.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience handling large-volume projects across multiple regions.
Knowledge of Incoterms, import/export documentation (if applicable), and transport regulations.
Lean supply chain or Six Sigma certification is an added advantage.
