Position Overview

Kids Club International School, Tiruppur, is seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and student-focused

Science Teacher

to handle Classes VI-X under the International curriculum. The teacher should be comfortable with activity-based, inquiry-driven, and concept-oriented teaching methods suitable for global standards.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

Teach

General Science / Integrated Science

for Classes VI-VIII and specialize in

Physics, Chemistry, or Biology

for Classes IX-X (based on the school structure). Deliver lessons based on international curriculum frameworks (Cambridge/IGCSE/IB-style). Prepare engaging lesson plans with experiments, demonstrations, activities, and projects. Encourage scientific thinking, observation, and real-life application of concepts.

Practical & Lab Work

Conduct hands-on experiments and practical sessions. Ensure lab safety rules are followed at all times. Maintain and organize lab equipment, materials, and student lab records.

Assessment & Evaluation

Create formative & summative assessments aligned with international standards. Regularly evaluate assignments, projects, lab work, and class performance. Maintain accurate academic records and provide meaningful feedback. Train students for international-style questions involving reasoning and application.

Classroom Management

Maintain a positive, inclusive, and inquiry-based learning atmosphere. Support students individually through remedial classes when needed. Encourage curiosity, experimentation, and scientific discussions.

Curriculum & Academic Development

Contribute to curriculum review and yearly academic planning. Integrate STEM-based learning and real-world science applications. Participate in Science fairs, exhibitions, clubs, and competitions.

School Responsibilities

Participate in assemblies, cultural events, and school programs. Attend training workshops, PD sessions, and staff meetings. Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary activities.

Qualifications & Skills

B.Sc / M.Sc in Physics / Chemistry / Biology / General Science

B.Ed

preferred. Experience with International curriculum (Cambridge / IB / IGCSE) is an advantage. Strong science content knowledge and excellent communication skills. Ability to teach through activities, models, digital tools, and experiments.
