Provide professional leadership and management for a subject to secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improved standards of learning and achievement for all pupils for the whole school.
Evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning, the subject curriculum and progress towards targets for pupils and staff, to inform future priorities and targets for the subject.
Monitoring teachers planning for their Subject and evaluating the effectiveness of the program to inform future planning and resource needs.
Developing/monitoring the profile of their Subject within school by identifying possible training needs. This may involve workshops, coordinating the use of outside expertise, leading discussion at school INSET/meetings, reporting back on courses attended.
Maintaining the Subject resources; disseminating information to staff on available resources courses, and reading recent, relevant publications liaising with external personnel, as appropriate on matters relating to the area of responsibility.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Qualification:
Graduates/ Post-graduates with excellent communication.if, B.Ed added as an advantage.
