Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Delivery:
  • Plan and deliver dynamic lessons in accordance with the CBSE curriculum, covering topics in physics, chemistry, biology, and environmental science.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology tools to facilitate learning and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Practical Experiments:
  • Organize and conduct hands-on laboratory experiments and demonstrations to reinforce theoretical concepts and develop practical skills.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during laboratory sessions and provide guidance on proper equipment usage and handling.
  • Assessment and Feedback:
  • Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and address areas needing improvement.
  • Classroom Management:
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement, collaboration, and respect for diverse perspectives.
  • Establish and enforce classroom rules and expectations to maintain discipline and facilitate effective learning.
  • Curriculum Development:
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the science curriculum, incorporating best practices, current educational trends, and CBSE guidelines.
  • Create or adapt instructional materials, lesson plans, and assessments to meet the needs of students and promote active learning.
  • Extracurricular Involvement:
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, such as science fairs, clubs, and field trips, to enhance students\' interest and participation in science-related experiences.
  • Mentor students in scientific research projects and provide guidance for participation in competitions and events.
  • Parent-Teacher Communication:
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding students\' academic progress, behavior, and any concerns or achievements.
  • Attend parent-teacher meetings, conferences, and other events to discuss student performance and collaborate on strategies for success.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Education, Science, or a related field; Master\'s degree preferred.
  • B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification recognized by CBSE.
  • Previous experience teaching science subjects at the secondary level, preferably in a CBSE-affiliated school.
  • Deep understanding of CBSE curriculum standards, assessment practices, and examination patterns.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology tools and resources for instructional purposes.
