The Science Academic Executive supports the development and implementation of scientific strategies . This role facilitates scientific collaborations, enhances the company's academic presence, and ensures alignment between corporate goals and academic/scientific trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Engagement & Liaison:
Develop and manage relationships with academic institutions, researchers, and scientific societies.
Represent the company at scientific conferences, symposia, and academic panels.
Identify and establish strategic academic collaborations for joint research or product development.
Cross-functional Support:
Support medical affairs in developing scientific materials, white papers, and publications.
Collaborate with regulatory, clinical, and commercial teams to ensure scientific integrity in messaging.
Assist in training internal teams on recent scientific advances and academic developments.
Research Coordination:
Evaluate research proposals from academic partners for scientific merit and strategic fit.
Monitor progress and outcomes of collaborative research projects.
Requirements:
Education:
PG, PharmD, MD, or equivalent in life sciences, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
Experience:
2-7 years in academic research or scientific roles within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Prior experience in academic liaison or medical affairs is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong understanding of scientific research and drug development processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with scientific stakeholders.
Ability to translate complex scientific information into actionable business insights.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in pharma settings.
