About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and visionary

Principal

to lead a reputed

CBSE-affiliated K-12 School in Kochi

. The Principal will be the academic, administrative, and cultural leader of the institution, responsible for ensuring excellence in academics, compliance, staff development, student well-being, and parent engagement, in alignment with CBSE norms and the school's long-term vision.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership

Provide strong instructional leadership aligned with

CBSE curriculum, NEP 2020

, and best practices in education. Ensure high standards of teaching, learning outcomes, assessments, and student achievement. Oversee curriculum planning, lesson delivery, internal assessments, and board examination preparedness. Promote innovative pedagogy, experiential learning, and holistic education.

School Administration & Operations

Manage day-to-day school operations ensuring smooth academic and non-academic functioning. Ensure

full compliance with CBSE, Government of India, and Government of Kerala regulations

, including inspections and audits. Oversee timetabling, academic calendars, staff deployment, and infrastructure utilization. Coordinate with administrative, transport, safety, and support teams.

Staff Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff. Drive continuous professional development and performance management systems. Foster a positive, ethical, and collaborative school culture. Ensure staff adherence to school policies, CBSE SOPs, and child protection norms.

Student Welfare & Discipline

Ensure a safe, inclusive, and student-centric environment. Oversee discipline systems, counselling frameworks, and student well-being initiatives. Promote values, character education, leadership, and citizenship among students.

Parent & Community Engagement

Act as the primary academic interface with parents. Handle parent communication, grievance redressal, and relationship management professionally. Represent the school in academic forums, CBSE meetings, and community engagements.

Strategic Growth & Quality Assurance

Contribute to school development plans, enrolment growth, and quality benchmarks. Support accreditation processes, inspections, and institutional audits. Uphold the reputation and brand of the school through ethical leadership and results.

Eligibility & Experience Requirements

Age:

Between

40 and 55 years

Experience:

Must have

prior experience as a Principal

in a

reputed CBSE-affiliated school

Proven track record in leading academic excellence and managing large school teams

Educational Qualifications:

Postgraduate degree (Master's) in a relevant subject B.Ed. mandatory; M.Ed. preferred

CBSE Exposure:

Strong hands-on experience with CBSE affiliation processes, inspections, SARAS portal, and board examinations

Location Requirement

The candidate

must currently reside in Kochi or be willing to relocate to Kochi in personal capacity
