1. Role Overview

We are looking for a qualified and experienced

School Nurse

who has prior experience working in CBSE schools. The candidate must be able to provide first-aid care, maintain student health records, assist during medical emergencies, and support the school's health and safety guidelines as per CBSE norms.

2. Key Responsibilities Student Health & Emergency Care

Provide first-aid treatment to students and staff during injuries, illness, and emergencies. Monitor students with chronic conditions or special medical needs. Handle medical emergencies calmly and efficiently, ensuring immediate attention.

Record Keeping & Documentation

Maintain updated health records of all students as per CBSE requirements. Monitor vaccination records, medical forms, and health status reports. Prepare periodic health reports for school management.

Health & Safety Compliance

Ensure the school infirmary is clean, equipped, and well-maintained at all times. Maintain stock of medicines, first-aid supplies, and equipment. Follow hygiene and infection-control protocols mandated under CBSE guidelines. Support school safety committees during audits, inspections, and emergency drills.

Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with parents regarding health concerns or emergencies. Assist teachers and staff in handling students with health issues. Provide guidance to students on basic hygiene, wellness, and health practices.

3. Required Qualifications & Experience

GNM / B.Sc Nursing

(mandatory)

Minimum 1-3 years of experience

as a nurse preferably in a CBSE school setting*
Knowledge of school health protocols, first-aid, and emergency response Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to manage students with care, patience, and professionalism

4. Skills & Competencies

Excellent observation and quick decision-making skills Empathy, patience, and student-centered approach Strong record-keeping abilities Ability to handle stress and emergencies efficiently Knowledge of CBSE health guidelines and medical documentation
