Principal / IT Coordinator
Role Overview
To manage, maintain, and secure the school's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and devices, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, minimal downtime, and reliable access to digital resources for students, staff, and administration.
Key Responsibilities
Network Management:
Monitor and maintain the school's LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity to ensure uninterrupted access.
System Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain servers, computers, and software applications; manage user accounts, permissions, and data storage.
Security & Backup:
Implement security protocols to protect school systems from cyber threats, malware, and data breaches; maintain regular backups and recovery procedures.
Troubleshooting & Support:
Provide timely technical support to staff and students for hardware, software, and network issues.
Software & Hardware Updates:
Ensure all systems and applications are updated, patched, and functioning optimally.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain IT asset records, configuration documentation, and incident logs.
Collaboration:
Work with teachers and administration to support educational technology initiatives, including smart classrooms and digital learning platforms.

Maintain 99% uptime for all network systems.

90% positive feedback from staff and students for IT support and responsiveness.
Documentation Accuracy:
100% of IT systems, assets, and configurations documented and up-to-date.
Skills
Strong knowledge of network protocols, server management, system administration, cybersecurity, troubleshooting, IT support, and cloud services; good communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or Microsoft Certified Administrator preferred.
Prior experience managing IT infrastructure in schools, colleges, or corporate environments is desirable.
