The School Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and upkeep of school facilities to ensure a clean, secure, and functional learning environment. The role includes supervising maintenance staff, coordinating repairs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily maintenance and facility operations across the school campus
Ensure classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas are clean, safe, and functional
Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and renovations
Monitor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems
Supervise and assign tasks to maintenance, cleaning, and support staff
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Conduct regular inspections and report maintenance needs
Maintain maintenance schedules, logs, and inventory of supplies
Liaise with external contractors and service providers
Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Hospitality, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities supervision
Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance best practices
Ability to manage staff and coordinate multiple tasks
